Terms of Service
Last updated August 28, 2026
The short version
Using this website means you're okay with the terms below. If you go on to work with Happy Genius on an actual project, the specifics of that engagement, scope, timeline, and price get agreed on directly with you, and those specifics take priority over anything general written here.
What we do
Happy Genius designs and builds AI-based systems for small businesses: documentation, data entry, task automation, CRM systems, and email systems. Every engagement starts with a consultation to figure out what's actually needed before anything is built.
Consultations and pricing
There's no fixed price list. Every system is scoped to the business it's built for, and you'll get a real number after the audit, not before. The free consultation carries no obligation to move forward.
What you own
When a system is built for your business, it's yours. Where a system runs as a local install, it runs on your own infrastructure and you're not paying an ongoing fee to keep using something you already paid to have built. Where a system depends on a third-party service (like an email provider), that service's own terms apply to that piece.
No long-term lock-in
There are no long-term contracts. If an engagement isn't working for either side, it can end. Details of how that works for a specific project get spelled out before any work starts, not buried in fine print after.
What we're responsible for
We build systems carefully and stand behind the work, including support after launch. What we can't promise is a specific business outcome, results depend on a lot of factors outside our control. We also can't be responsible for outages or issues caused by third-party services (email providers, hosting, chat platforms) that a system connects to.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in any meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
